Intern Sarah makes a comeback, Ashley gets a mini-me, the office expands its wings (literally), marketing makes a stand, and the intern role becomes roles.
So much has changed. In every aspect of our industry and services we provide, to the staff we have and the staff we have gained. We have remained on our toes, keeping busy but making sure the quality of our work never suffers due to the quantity of our work.
As you may have already learned, we have significantly expanded our team as well as our office space. 2012 was an exciting year for Key Web, especially in the digital and content marketing department. (Yes, we have a “marketing department” now!) – The designer team has moved across the hall hosting their own “Designer Wing” complete with a conference table for team meetings, floor to ceiling white board walls, an open floor plan for better collaboration, and quite the better view – overlooking the pond. The previous “designer bullpen” has transitioned into the Marketing Den, quickly filling up with talented copywriters, social media experts, marketing gurus, and SEO pros alike.
Let’s talk about general changes you should be aware of concerning your website and online presence for your company. Google released several algorithm updates at an unparalleled rate over the past year. New concepts like “AuthorRank”, “Black-Hat Exact Domain Match”, “Backlinks Vs. Social Efforts” are just a few that have challenged our team (as well as other SEO experts and specialists) and forced us to review our current strategies and efforts. The changes that were rolled out by Google have caused significant shifts in the Search Engine Ranking Placement (SERP) for millions of sites on the web.
Among all the change, the ability for us to successfully operate at the speed and level of expertise that we have worked so hard to maintain has been challenged. This led us to hire SEO Account Managers and re-evaluate our SEO process. This team has enabled us to assign specific account managers to each SEO client to help improve communication between us and our clients. Additional hires are in the works at this time as we continue to add new SEO clients on a weekly basis.
- Social Media Training and Facebook Management Programs
- In response to an overwhelming demand from several of our clients, we have supplemented our Social Media Training services to offer multiple levels of Facebook Management. While we still encourage our clients to be as involved in their social media platforms as possible, we have implemented several management plans to help guide our clients to success in this fast growing target market.
