Key Web Concepts invites Becca to the Web Ninjas’ Bullpen

Between 3 guys, and the occasional “pop in” from Ashley, there isn’t anything to complain about when Jim said he hired a female Social Media and  copywriting intern for yours truly.  Truth be told, a little assistance was needed as busy as we have been! I love writing for our clients, I love working with our clients, I can’t help it if the love is spreading like wild fire! 😉

But back to point – copywriter, eh? I’m so confident in her writing ability after proofing her first assignment, I let this lil’ lady take a stab at writing on Key Web Concepts’ blog in…. her-own-words. (que the “dun dun dun”)

And I am 100% not lying when I say… annnd QUOTE:

“Why hello there! I’m Becca Neidle, the new Marketing Intern here at Key Web!

I started last Wednesday and so far, I am loving it! Everyone has been so welcoming and really made me feel like part of the team (aside from banning “Call Me Maybe” 😉 ). I think the flinging of the business cards is pretty hilarious – as long as they’re not being flung at me (don’t kill the intern!).

Anyway, here’s a little bit about me:

I’m a rising senior at Ithaca College (go Bombers!) majoring in Integrated Marketing Communications, which is just a big fancy term for Advertising, Public Relations, and Marketing. I’m also going for a minor in photography, which is one of my favorite things in life. I’ve done a lot of work in social media (when I first joined Twitter in high school, everyone thought I was crazy!), for both personal and professional purposes, and my friends sometimes call me the “Social Media Queen.”

Although I don’t know all too much about web design, I want to learn more about it outside of the classroom. I think there’s so much more to web design than what I could study in class. Being engaged and putting my academic skills to practice in the “real world” is the best way for me to do that. I’m excited to learn a lot, hopefully teach Key Web something, and I’m ready to jump into things feet first. 🙂

I’m not really quite sure yet what I want to do “when I grow up” (aka graduate), but I love Richmond and I can definitely picture myself here instead of the frozen tundra of Upstate New York.

Fun Facts:

  • I’m a pop culture and TV junkie- I watch an absurd amount of television. At IC, I work on an on-campus TV show called “Pop Quiz”, which is a pop culture based game show.
  • I can tap dance, and I recently choreographed a dance to the theme song of Covert Affairs.
  • I love crafting & baking -I once held the Foursquare Mayorship for Michael’s.
  • Maybe I’ll bake something for the office soon… I wonder what everyone’s favorite baked good is…

Good Luck Intern!
