Jim Thomas - President

Jim is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he studied Graphic Design and Art Education. Prior to starting the company, Jim taught high school art and worked as marketing director, IT director and website designer at a Richmond VA engineering firm. His background in design and teaching allows Jim not only to understand graphic design and website design but also to explain it to our clients.

In his spare time, Jim enjoys golfing. He coaches local youth soccer teams and plays in community soccer leagues too.

Matt Leahy - Director of Graphic Design

Matt is the Director of Graphic Design at Key Web Concepts. He received his BFA in Communication Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University. After starting out as our graphic design intern, Matt worked as a Graphic Designer before being promoted to Director of Graphic Design.

Matt’s interests include graphic design, website design, Pop Art, editorial illustration, comics and caricature. He is also an avid soccer fan.

Shannon Sullivan - New Media and SEO Specialist

Shannon is our New Media Marketing and SEO Specialist. She is also our Copywriter. Shannon received a BA in English from Virginia Commonwealth University and studied business and advertising to earn a minor in Fashion Merchandising.

Shannon likes reading, Scrabble, tennis and following the fashion industry. She enjoys traveling to Australia to visit family as well.

J Ivy - Graphic Designer

J is a Graphic Designer at Key Web Concepts. J earned his BFA in Graphic Design from Radford University.

In his spare time, J enjoys drawing and reading. He also loves cooking and experimenting with making new spice blends.

David Abel - Website Designer and Photographer

David is a Website Designer and Photographer for Key Web Concepts. He received a BFA in Communication Design and Kinetic Imaging from Virginia Commonwealth University.

In addition to his work at Key Web, David does wedding photography. His other interests include scuba diving, cooking, woodworking and soccer.

Darlene Simmons - Office Manager

Darlene is Key Web Concepts’ Office Manager. When she’s not at the office, Darlene enjoys gardening and reading. Darlene is also busy with family life as a mother and grandmother.
